I have it on good authority that Lena Headey is still experiencing back pain from carrying this movie on her shoulders
YES
Release date: September 9, 2005
Director: Ol Parker

Who should watch this movie: Lesbians who came out in their mid-late twenties. Kiddos still in the closet who are looking for a confidence boost (ily).
When should you watch this movie: When you’re feeling a bit fragile. On your laptop, in bed.
The sell: This movie is a little treat. Not a whole dessert, just a nibble of something that would otherwise be too sweet in larger quantities. Imagine Me and You is a rare lesbian romance that doesn’t result in dramatic separation or death. Instead, it is the story of a young woman, Rachel, finding her voice with gentle encouragement from a sexy florist. The story’s antagonist is (refreshingly) not Rachel’s husband, who is in fact a lovely man, but rather her own internal conflict. Watching Rachel grapple with the expectations she had for her life, ultimately finding courage to pursue what she truly wants, is deeply gratifying. This movie is not expertly acted, nor is it masterfully shot, but it has that early-2000’s charm that makes even the roughest edges endearing.
